Agora Center Spin-off is a presentation and exhibit of our achievements in many ways. What kinds of spin-offs have sprinted out from the Agora Center during the years? We will first have a seminar presenting our aims and achievements from 15-17 in the Agora Auditorium 1 and then a phenomenal after-party in the Lea Pulkkinen hall. Come have fun together with the AC staff, alumni, friends, and partners. If you have ideas, please let us know! We welcome both science based and creative contributions, such as music and arts, in addition to project presentations. Let us know where you spinned off!

Project SWING begins
The project aims to develop an operating model of the innovation ecosystem and apply it to build an innovation center in the Jyväskylä region. The project will produce a pragmatic view of the measures that are needed in order to build an innovation center in co-creation with businesses, universities and other regional, national and international stakeholders.

Project Innokehä begins
The University of Jyväskylä has created a multidisciplinary consortium, comprising of various university faculties and international companies, which aims at the development of innovative environments and networks. As at present diverse hurdles hinder an efficient cooperation between universities and companies the InnoKehä project intends to bring together representatives of these parties in order to define a roadmap that can lead to an optimized exploitation of research results and innovations.

DynapageA model case of overcoming structural change
We built a model case of an innovation ecosystem in action when Nokia closed its research facilities in Jyväskylä in 2009. The Agora Center and the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Jyväskylä, swiftly initiated a new operational vision with Nokia, other businesses, and the city. The successful operations of the ecosystem not only saved work places but also created new employment and companies.
